Anti-Embolism
Stocking-Regular
Anti-Thrombosis
Stocking KK6 Compressive Effect
Indications:
preventative treatment of pre-operative and post-operative
embolism. Particularly suitable for patients subjected to post-traumatic
treatments and in case of hydrostatic oedemas, contusions and
sprains. Compressions value: mm Hg 18-24 at ankle level, progressively
decreasing towards the calf and thigh, restores compression lacking
to the venous system (venous pump), helps to re-establish blood
circulation rate to normal level in the femoral veins.
The
product comes in both knee & thigh length and sizes (small,
medium, large & X large). Each model has a different coloured
top, which allows easier identification of the model suitable
for the various requirements.
In
particular, KK6 ANTI-THROMBOSIS ELASTIC STOCKING has certain high-quality
features.
Elastomer
Yarn: which is spirally covered with a protective sheath (Du Pont).
Open toe: this feature enables the physician to examine the foot
more freely. Mesh: with circumferential stretch (alternately,
double mesh) which allows the stocking to maintain its compression
characteristics after several washings. The stockings have passed
the quality and duration test (15 washes in washing machine) maintaining
their technical characteristics unaltered. Heel with anatomical
shaping: improves adherence, stretch and durability. Elastic band
sewn to the top (anti-slip strip) ensures correct position of
stocking and prevents slipping.
Material
is resistant to the use of dermal creams, certain ointments, etc.
May be sterilised in autoclave.

How
to choose the Ideal Type of Stocking?
You
are advised to measure the girth of the patient's leg at ankle
and calf. Then compare the measurements obtained with those in
the "size" table, choosing the stocking size indicated.
Whenever
there is the need for a stocking with greater compression (with
respect to the indicated value), choose a smaller size stocking.
Being smaller it will exert greater containment, increasing compression
on the leg. When a stocking with less compression is required,
adopt the reverse procedure.

Travel
Socks
Wearing
of Uni-Spot Travel Socks is a tried and trusted method of aiding
the prevention of embolism on journeys of prolonged inactivity
by plane (Economy Class Syndrome), train, coach or car.
The
cabin pressure reduction on planes together with cramped seating
conditions and dehydration can contribute to circulatory problems
such as swelling of ankles and the formation of stasis in the
lower limbs which can lead to DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)
The
Uni-Spot Travel Socks have been specifically designed to reduce
this risk with a compression level support of 18-28 mm Hg (at
the ankle). Graduated tension helps to increase blood flow pressure
in the veins to a healthy rate and to reduce excess fluid in the
legs. It is advisable to wear the Uni-Spot Travel Socks for the
entire trip.
The
appearance is of a normal sock; it is comfortable to wear and
helps to alleviate leg discomfort. It is also suitable to wear
the socks throughout the day whilst walking, working and of course,
driving.
Must
not be worn where there is a history of serious circulatory conditions
or by diabetics. The socks must be worn on both legs. Always consult
a healthcare specialist and discontinue wearing if pain or extreme
discomfort is experienced.
