Wearing
of Uni-Spot Travel Socks is a tried and trusted method of aiding
the prevention of embolism on journeys of prolonged inactivity by
plane (Economy Class Syndrome), train, coach or car.
The
cabin pressure reduction on planes together with cramped seating
conditions and dehydration can contribute to circulatory problems
such as swelling of ankles and the formation of stasis in the lower
limbs which can lead to DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)
The
Uni-Spot Travel Socks have been specifically designed to reduce
this risk with a compression level support of 18-28 mm Hg (at the
ankle). Graduated tension helps to increase blood flow pressure
in the veins to a healthy rate and to reduce excess fluid in the
legs. It is advisable to wear the Uni-Spot Travel Socks for the
entire trip.
The
appearance is of a normal sock; it is comfortable to wear and helps
to alleviate leg discomfort. It is also suitable to wear the socks
throughout the day whilst walking, working and of course, driving.
Must
not be worn where there is a history of serious circulatory conditions
or by diabetics. The socks must be worn on both legs. Always consult
a healthcare specialist and discontinue wearing if pain or extreme
discomfort is experienced.
